Contracted German security police, a part of the 86th Security Forces Squadron, underwent an active shooter training scenario, Feb. 25, 2014, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Participants were refreshed on how to effectively clear multiple types of rooms before beginning drills with simulated pistol rounds. Training was led by ZB-6 Marco Lorenz, 86th SFS tactical instructor, and concluded with the class forming two-man teams to clear out a building containing multiple placed targets. Training to keep awareness and tactical levels in peak condition is key to success for defenders with the 86th SFS. (U.S. Air Force Photos/Airman 1st Class Jordan Castelan)
