The Ramstein Health and Wellness Center, Landstuhl's Wellness Center, 435th Services and the 435th Medical Group's Physical Therapy office, hosted the first-ever Kaiserslautern Military Community Wellness Day, on 22 April.

The day was filled with great information from nine different helping agencies, 11 nutrition, fitness, tobacco cessation and stress management classes, cholesterol and blood pressure screenings, Microfit and gait analysis assessments, body fat assessments, free back, neck massages and free healthy snacks!

In addition, a Total Fit Challenge was organized through Physical Therapy that attracted four teams. Only one team, however, was recognized with the quickest time, the 435th Civil Engineer Squadron! Finally, three members were recognized as winners of the Ramstein HAWC raffle--Mrs. Patricia Haas, Mrs. Sharon Tremble, and Commander Stacey, U.S. Navy. Each received a fully-loaded HAWC gym bag.

"On behalf of the gracious hosts who sponsored this worthwhile event, thanks to all of you who broke away from your busy day to attend," Maj. Lisa Tauai, Health Promotions Flight commander said. "The purpose of the KMC Wellness Day was to arm our active duty members and civilians with the tools needed to adopt a healthier lifestyle. We are confident that this intent was fully met and look forward to future events of this nature for the valued patrons that we serve! "
