Ramstein outdoor rec named USAFE-AFAFRICA program of the year

RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- Ramstein's outdoor recreation program is named the 2012 U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa outdoor recreation program of the year, Aug. 8, 2013.

Competing against all outdoor recreation departments in USAFE-AFAFRICAs here. Ramstein's own claimed the number one spot by continually supplying quality-of-life-enhancement options.

"It means a lot," said Brittney Fisher, 86th Force Support Squadron recreation aide. "We are a big outdoor recreation shop and we focus on carrying a wide arrange of products while offering the best customer support."

Outdoor recreation strives to promote physical fitness and healthy lifestyles by providing the highest quality gear, facilities, and customer driven programs to members of the KMC.

"We have a large variety of camping, biking, snow sports and other outdoor equipment," said Jerome Favors, 86th FSS recreation director. "Offering the largest possible selection of activities and equipment is our cornerstone of improving quality-of-life."
