86th Airlift Wing officials today identified the Airman who died in Friday's two-vehicle accident as Airman First Class Michael Hill, of Ramstein's 786th Civil Engineer Squadron.

The accident took place early in the morning near Reichenbach-Steegen. The other driver, also a Ramstein Air Base Airman, was treated at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center and released the same day.

The Ramstein Air Base community and 86th Airlift Wing leadership are deeply saddened by this tragedy.

"Airmen like Michael Hill are valued members of our Air Force and of our local community. His untimely death affects us all and we mourn with his family." said Brig. Gen. Patrick X.
