RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- Sampling results of our water system were found to be above Department of War notification levels for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS. The sampling results meet German drinking water standards, and the 86th Airlift Wing is assessing mitigation measures.
You do not need to boil your water. If you have specific health questions, consult your medical provider. For additional guidance on PFAS, use the following link: ASD(EI&E) - Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) (osd.mil)
