AF announces "For Airmen, By Airmen" video contest

  • Published
Secretary of the Air Force Public Affairs is conducting a recruiting and retention video contest open to all Airmen.

The goal of the contest is to provide an opportunity for Airmen to develop and produce videos to capture their vision of an effective Air Force recruiting and retention TV commercial. The videos will be in the "mission-documentary" format, in which Airmen talk about what they do for the Air Force and our Nation. All video contest entries will be due to the 435th Air Base Wing Public Affairs office by Jan. 7, for review before forwarding to U.S. Air Forces in Europe Public Affairs and on to SAF/PA.

A chief of staff of the Air Force coin and congratulatory letter will be awarded to the winners in each category, and letters to the runners-up in each category. All videos submitted in either category will be posted to Air Force Blue Tube, where all Airmen can view and download them.

The guidelines for submission are:

-- Submit in one of two categories: (1) Professional team and (2) Individual Airman.
