This year's Combined Federal Campaign-Overseas kicks off Sept. 17 and concludes Nov. 16.

The CFC-O is an annual event where service members and civilian personnel can contribute to thousands of charities that help those in need around the world.

"We are kicking off this year's CFC-O campaign with a booth in the (Kaiserslautern Military Community Center) where people may donate," said Capt. David Milodragovich, one of two representatives for Team Ramstein. "There will be a radio event hosted by American Forces Network on the 19th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., to get the word out on this year's campaign."

There is also a 5k run at the 435th Construction Training Squadron to be scheduled for 7 a.m. Sept. 19, where people may donate, said Staff Sgt. Andre Grant, coordinator for the 5k run.

"Our goal this year is to raise $675,000 between the four groups and ensure that 100 percent contact is made to the members of Team Ramstein," said Milodragovich.

Squadrons will have their own CFC-O representatives, some with multiple delegates depending on the size of their squadron.

"Those who wish to donate may do so after the campaign has officially begun through squadron representatives," Milodragovich said. "Unit representatives will explain the donating process while making contact with personnel in their units."

The CFC-O donation process includes filling out a pledge form with the organizations name, method of payment, along with other basic information. Methods of payment include making a monthly donation where money is automatically taken from your account, making a one-time, cash donation, or paying online at http://cfcoverseas.org through eGiving, which uses a valid debit card, credit card or electronic check.
