Chief Master Sergeant Christopher C. Hucks serves as the Command Chief for the 435th Air Ground Operations Wing, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Known as the "FOLLOW ME" Wing, the 435th delivers resilient and mission-ready expeditionary Airmen to Combatant Commanders, ensuring rapid response to humanitarian and contingency operations worldwide. The wing is a highly capable and versatile force, comprising three groups, 11 squadrons, and multiple detachments. With over 1,400 personnel operating from 26 strategic locations across Germany, Italy, and regions spanning the Baltics to the Balkans, the wing maintains a persistent forward presence that enhances mission agility and operational reach. Whether responding to crisis or supporting coalition efforts, the 435 AGOW reinforces allied capabilities and exemplifies enduring commitment to international stability and humanitarian impact.
Chief Master Sergeant Hucks enlisted in the United States Air Force in May 2000. He attended technical training at Keesler AFB, Mississippi, graduating from the Planning and Implementation course in September 2000. His background includes various roles in the cyberspace support career field at base communications units, Headquarters Air Force, theater deployable communications, Numbered Air Force, NATO, and joint commands leading Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and allied partners. He has deployed numerous times in support of contingency and enduring operations to include Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, UNIFIED PROTECTOR, INHERENT RESOLVE and completed overseas tours in Italy, Republic of Korea, Germany, Netherlands and Portugal. Prior to assuming his current position, he served as the Group Senior Enlisted Leader, 65th Air Based Group, Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal and Moron Air Base, Spain.
