A-10s refuel over Europe, maintain forward presence
A pilot from 354th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron maneuvers away from a 100th Air Refueling Wing KC-135 Stratotanker after receiving fuel above Ramstein Air Base, Germany, March 26, 2015. The A-10s deployed as part of a theater security package in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve. The deployment of fighters throughout the region brings additional combat capable forces to Europe, which are able to respond to a wide variety of operations. The Air Force’s forward presence in Europe gives the U.S. the support infrastructure to increase current force and build new and deeper partnerships across the continent.
