Recently, the 86th Force Support Squadron took over management of the Sports Lounge located in the KMCC.

For those of you who were hesitant to visit the Sports Lounge, it's time you tried their new menu. Within three weeks of new management, the Sports Lounge is providing more efficient service, quality of food, and an enjoyable atmosphere.

It's a great place to socialize after work, on the weekends or for hanging out with friends while enjoying a burger, beer and of course, the game on one of their 16 televisions.

The most popular item on the menu is the fresh (never frozen) handcrafted burgers. The burgers are paired well with sides to include shoestring French fries, coleslaw, potato salad or Jack Daniel's baked beans.

"The burger was yummy, service was friendly, and timely and the atmosphere was good. I would definitely eat here again," said Bridget Driver, Sports Lounge customer.

If you are craving something besides burgers, try their chicken wings. Topped with sauces, these variations include mild, hot, barbecue and southern fried chicken wings.

"I was greeted by a staff member right away, who was very nice. The quarter pounder and pulled pork sandwich were very good. The barbecue sauce on the sandwich was wonderful and I loved the coleslaw," said Dee Dee Trigilio, another Sports Lounge customer.

The Sports Lounge is the perfect place to enjoy German or American beer on tap, while lounging in one of their comfy couches.

You can enjoy watching sports games such as football, basketball, baseball, local soccer and even racing and you will feel as if you're in the comfort of your own home!

Patio seating is available and is recommended for a scenic view of the flight line; great for those warm, sunny nights. The sports themed atmosphere makes the Sports Lounge a fun place to be. Diners can also enjoy shooting pool while watching sports or just relaxing with friends.

Further enhancements for the Sports Lounge include transitioning to a European Pub theme with a new name, further expansion of the menu, and the addition of live entertainment.

The 86th FSS will be soliciting feedback from customers on possible names for the operation and other menu items they would like to see added.

Hours of operation for the Sports Lounge are Sunday through Thursday from 11a.m. to 11p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11a.m. to midnight.

The bar is open Sunday through Thursday 11a.m. to midnight and Friday through Saturday from 11a.m. to 1a.m.
