RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany --   Candles are lit to remember the victims of interpersonal violence at a candlelight vigil at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Oct. 27, 2016. Each candle is marked with different-colored ribbons, representing the four categories that interpersonal violence covers: domestic violence, sexual abuse, child abuse, and bullying. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, over the course of a year more than 10 million U.S. citizens are victims of interpersonal violence. The devastating physical, emotional, and psychological consequences of these events can cross generations and last lifetimes. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Lane T. Plummer)
