Capt. Jason Powell, 435th Contingency Response Group operations officer, received a first-edition copy of "Into the Mouth of the Cat," when he was 13 years old. The book, which tells the story of Capt. Lance P. Sijan, inspired him to become an officer in the U.S. Air Force. Powell met the man who helped tell this story, retired Capt. KMC Express Store officially open for business

The $7 million, 11,000 square-foot express store, equipped with 28 gas pumps, is the biggest gas station in Europe, and is now the only operational gas station on Ramstein.
