Ramstein planes, Airmen depart for Darfur mission

RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- A C-130 Hercules from the 86th Airlift Wing is marshaled onto the taxiway here July 16 on its way to Kigali, Rwanda, for a monthlong airlift mission to the Darfur region of Sudan. Three C-130 aircraft and about 40 Airmen here will support NATO's response to support the African Union's expanded peacekeeping mission in Darfur with logistics and training. On the Ramp

RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- Aerial port airmen load C-130 Hercules propellers onto a 60-k loader at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. The airmen uploaded the props onto an awaiting C-17 Globemaster III, which then airlifted the cargo to a base in the Middle East.
