Welcome to Ramstein

Ramstein Air Base - Gateway to EuropeWelcome to Ramstein Air Base, the Gateway to Europe!

Once you've arrived to the base, the Airman and Family Readiness Center cordially invites you to attend a Ramstein Orientation to Germany. This program is designed to give you the tools needed to familiarize yourself with this assignment and all this wonderful area has to offer.

A few of the topics covered during
our Orientation to Germany include Understanding German Culture,
Passport Requirements for Travel, Driving, Recycling, as well as Educational, Employment and Volunteer Opportunities. Furthermore, a local tour will be available through our USO. The program is offered every Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and is located in Bldg. 2402.

We also encourage all spouses to participate in our quarterly program called Heart Link. It's a fun and interactive class designed to give you the tools you need to succeed as an Air Force Spouse.

If you have any questions, please contact your new Airman & Family Readiness Center at DSN 480-5100 or commercial 06371-47-5900 or e-mail them at 86MSS.DPF@ramstein.af.mil. After your arrival, please stop by Bldg. 2120.

Again, welcome! We're excited you are joining Team Ramstein!

Why doesn't the Web site carry everything useful about Ramstein information? Units Air Force wide are trying hard to ensure the safety and security of incoming personnel by taking operational security very seriously. Much of the information that pertains to incoming personnel is sensitive, so it has been secured at the Air Force Portal and other restricted sites. You should be able to find a wealth of information on the links to the right, and if not, feel free to contact the 86th Airlift Wing Public Affairs office using the "contact us" link below.
