Maintaining fitness goals with Ramstein classes

Andrea Brooks, 786th Force Support Squadron Southside Fitness Center class instructor, leads an exercise class at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Nov. 29, 2016. Ramstein Air Base is home to the Northside and Southside Fitness Centers. Both centers offer a variety of cardio equipment, free weights, racquetball courts, fitness classes and active intramural programs. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, less than 5 percent of adults participate in 30 minutes of physical activity each day and only 1-in-3 adults receive the recommended amount of physical activity each week. Recent reports project that by 2030, half of all U.S. adults, approximately 115 million, will be obese. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Lane T. Plummer)
