This is the 83rd Network Operations Squadron Detachment 4 patch. The 83 NOS uses their weapon system, known as the Cyber Security and Control system, to ensure 24-hour network operations, management functions and enable key enterprise services and defensive operations within the Air Force’s networks. From now until Jan. 8, 2016, people can sign up for the “Biggest Loser” challenge at the Ramstein Southside Fitness Center at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. The challenge gives participants three months, from Jan. 12 to April 5, to lose as much weight as possible and encourages them to attend classes throughout the fitness community taught by Health Promotion, Outdoor Recreation and the Aquatic Center to keep them on track. In 2011, the U.S. and Poland signed a memorandum of understanding establishing a U.S. Air Force aviation detachment in Poland. Since 2013, U.S. military aircraft and personnel have participated in rotational deployments to Poland, creating the basis of an enduring partnership. The 86th Airlift Wing is among the units that deploy Airmen and aircraft to Poland in order to work side by side with Polish allies to complete a variety of training objectives, including realistic night vision goggle training, fighter intercept training and aircraft commander upgrade qualifications.
