Chief Master Sergeant COREY J. CROW

Chief Master Sergeant Corey J. Crow is the Command Chief, 435th Air Ground Operations Wing (U.S. European Command) and the 435th Air Expeditionary Wing (U.S. Africa Command), Ramstein Air Base, Germany. These specialized wings provide battlefield and expeditionary Airmen to combatant commanders and are capable of responding to humanitarian and contingency operations throughout the world. The two wings are comprised of 5 groups, 22 squadrons and 4 detachments, and more than 3,000 personnel at 11 operating locations between Germany, Italy, Poland, and across 5 airfields throughout East and West Africa.

The 435 AGOW Airmen build expeditionary airfields on demand, provide joint Airpower integration, enable multi-theater sustainment and support, deliver premier specialty training, and build partnership capacity. The 435 AEW Airmen and Guardians operate C-130, HH-60, MQ-9, and Guardian Angel weapons systems to conduct tactical airlift, personnel recovery, casualty evacuation, and multi-role attack operations. As the command chief, Chief Crow is the senior enlisted advisor to the wing commander and is responsible for the health and welfare, development, training and combat readiness, recognition, discipline, and effective utilization of the organization’s multi-capable force.

Chief Crow entered the Air Force in June 1999 immediately upon graduating from Cimarron High School in Lahoma, Okla. After Basic Military Training, he attended the Air Force Security Forces Academy Apprentice Course where he graduated with honors. He has served in various leadership positions at the detachment, squadron, and wing levels and has over 20 years of operational leadership and management experience within the Security

Forces career field including an extensive background in nuclear security, law enforcement, integrated defense, and ground combat operations. The chief is a graduate of the U.S. Army’s Airborne, Air Assault, Ranger, and Military Police Investigator schools; the U.S. Air Force Close Precision Engagement, Air Advisor, and Tactical Security Element courses; the Federal Bureau of Investigations National Academy, Session #258; and is a Distinguished Graduate of all three levels of U.S. Air Force enlisted Professional Military Education.

His assignments include bases in Georgia, Korea, Hawaii, New Mexico, England, and South Carolina with deployments to Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Niger, and United Arab Emirates in support of Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, NEW DAWN, INHERENT RESOLVE, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL, and JUNIPER SHIELD. Prior to his current position, the chief was the Command Chief, 378th Air Expeditionary Wing, Prince Sultan Airbase, Saudi Arabia.
